Cinema Buro was not assembled as a company; it converged as a conversation. For more than a decade, the same frustration was taking shape in parallel across different countries and disciplines: that the world's finest private cinemas were still being specified as lists of equipment rather than engineered as rooms.
The partnership brings together the technical leadership, design sensibility and precision manufacturing needed to close that gap. Small by choice, senior by design, every project is handled by the people whose names are below, not passed down a chain.

Peter has designed and calibrated reference-grade rooms for some of the most demanding clients in the world, and translates their ambitions into an engineered brief that the rest of the team can build to with certainty.
The engineering conscience of the studio. Ben owns acoustic isolation, resonance control and reference-grade signal, holding every room to an objective performance target from first-principles modelling through to certified handover. If a decision cannot be justified against the measurement, it does not make the drawings.
Where engineering meets emotion. Maurizio ensures the room that performs is also the room that moves you, resolving structure, joinery and material into spaces of genuine architectural beauty. His work makes the invisible discipline of the build feel effortless to the people who live with it.
